We built the POS we needed for our own shop

Devsio Services is a software house in Islamabad, started by Umer Shafique in 2017. Before Devsio POS was a product, it was a problem on our own counter. Umer runs the retail side of Star Electric Enterprises, an electrical trading business in Saddar, Rawalpindi, with thousands of items, credit customers and suppliers who change prices every week.

Paper registers and spreadsheets could not keep up, so we wrote the software ourselves: billing, stock, khata and accounts in one place, then AI voice commands and WhatsApp bills once the basics were solid. It still runs there every day, and every update is tested on a real counter before it reaches yours.
